My answer from a thread on the RolePlayHQ.net forums: Quote: I've already answered, of course. Heh. But if you missed that: Tool. Or, more specifically, Lateralus. And after that, NIN, both The Downward Spiral and later on, Year Zero. Lateralus opened me to the infinite possibilities of the world, and to higher thinking; The Downward Spiral brought me back down and let me be the fucking emo I needed to be for a little while, and Year Zero (especially along with the ARG) scared the hell out of me and made me want to fight what's going on all around us.
