1. No, letting a failing institution die is a lot better than letting it drag everyone else down with it. 2. Increase taxes there by curbing inflation. 3.We are at the point of no return ladies and gentlemen. Don't worry America only stays down for a year or so *salute* |

The "Now for something completely different" was totally warranted. Doesn't make for a lively discussion if the previous post is "Kill everyone, fuck the world" Anything I could say to that would have resulted in a personal attack on their beliefs. I can't even begin to fathom whether the previous post was blind faith or in jest. It sure as hell isn't practical to kill everyone and every person who is not clinically depressed has at least some will to survive unlike what that post was made to be. Diseased and rotting, verbatim hipster pseudo-nihilism speech right there. So let the British man be.

I got what you meant, but posting an image on its own is still spam. A well thought out post, and then an image, is fine. That being said, he has a point. Keep all posts on topic, and refrain from derailing the thread. |

Also, fuck your practicality, there's no point to it. Practicality is the difference between what can and will happen and what should but wont Capitalism is the example of the former while Communism is the example for the later. Capitalism works but, Communism doesn't. Simple. Sitting about jerking yourself off while pretending you're better than everyone else because you're more "practical" I said your plan was impractical. I did not say I was more practical or better than everyone else. I'd much rather fend for myself in a nuked out husk of a world than in this spiritually dead shit-rock we've built for ourselves. Then why don't you. A plane ticket to Ethiopia shouldn't run you that much. Go with a tent, some food, and small medical supplies while everyone else is relatively secure and comfortable. Just because, you want to be thrown back into a life we evolved out of does not mean everyone else wants to participate in devolution. whatever it is you do on a friday night, means dick. Magic the Gathering followed by Bar Hopping. all the efforts of man boil down to nothing Nihilism. so why not just enjoy yourself, want for yourself, instead of some diety, or mankind, or science? Humanity is driven by greed and that is a good thing and whats wrong with believing in something greater than your self? If that's what gets your rocks off then do it I say. Greed and a higher purpose has driven human advancement thus far and it will continue to drive us towards higher bounds. More words wasted on the deluded, though. "You're an idiot", "That's impractical, hurf durf". I believe I called it impractical but, I did not call you an idiot. Idiot would denote you are ignorant due to a medical or genetic condition. Also, for someone cutting down on 'hipsters', that monty python pic is awful hip, you hypocritical nutfuck. I honestly didn't realize Python was hip. Oh well, excuse me for liking the British Comedies. There is nothing wrong with liking nice things. Hipster rhetoric is not a nice thing. I don't get you at one point you seem Atheistic and at other times you practically scream spirituality. Further more I suggest you learn how to insult people indirectly with out cursing. It does not look well on you |

My, my, my some one is quite angry. Don't hate just because I can separate my beliefs from my wants I am not hating. Your belief is from what I've gathered thus far is humanity sucks and your want is the world to burn... mhmm. As for whether or not you said you were more practical than I am, you did imply it, you twat-sucking jenkem-huffing dick cannibal. I implied my plan was more practical. Which it is. It is improbable, nay, impossible to have every country move in here and then nuke itself in that order. comfort in their cock-and-balls way of life. So I ask you again. Why if the "Cock-and-balls" way of life is so bad do you apparently have the internet? This so called cock-and-balls way of life gave you that chair you are probably sitting in, that desk you are typing on, that house/home/tent/overpass you are living in/under. Humans strive for progress no matter what it doesn't mean anything if cunts like you aren't starving while I thrive. OIC We are getting to the root of your problem[and it really is yours]. You are suffering from anger that people are apparently happier and more sated with their current life style while you for lack of skills, education, or some other reason can't have one. *shrug* you sat at home and watched saturday morning cartoons, I spent my time learning shit, you jizz-encrusted fag-golem. ;-) Try again. Scouts, ROTC, JROTC, Civil Air Patrol, and my never ending thirst for knowledge have left me decently equipped to survive a post nuclear adventure. You took it upon yourself to insult someone for their fantasy I took it upon myself because 1) Your FANTASY does not belong in the BANKING AND THE ECONOMY thread under DEBATE forum. That stuff looks like it belongs in the free thinking thread under philosophy. 2) Your fantasy is very unappealing to my eyes and as they say. You have a right to type anything on the internet but, I will always retain the right to criticize you for it. It is a want You could have ended that sentence there. You made it perfectly clear in the last two posts. As for judging someone based on how many times they say fuck, if you honestly think the amount of curse words they use has any merit when it comes to their intelligence, then I might suggest you stretch your dick-hole wide enough to fit your head. It would be widely symbollic of your life as a whole, you scrotum-gargling, crotch-polluting afterbirth. I was judging you based on 1) Your inability to talk about the economy in this thread, signifying either you don't know enough about the economy to say anything on it[Best possible] or a general disregard for topics [worst possible] 2)Your last remark insulting me directly obviously shows your lack of etiquette surrounding anything called a debate. 3)Your lack of a response to the first and only on topic post. yourself out to be over the course of this thread. I would hope not or I will have lost respect for most people on this forum. I unlike you have contributed positively to this debate. I answered all the questions and have not yet been rebuked with anything looking like a cohesive rebuttal to it. As your belligerence has just proven I probably struck a nerve somewhere in the course of the former post. I will however, remain civil, and will now remove my self from this thread due to the overwhelming lack of etiquette or rational thought. Good day. |

Hm. Interesting debacle. I would put in the obvious opinion, but I'd rather not interfere and trap myself in the process. Anyways, back on topic: 1. I actually think that the US needs to go through with the bail-out. Sure, it's already passed, but I trust that the turn-out now will be better than if we had just left it. I mean, if we did not do the bail-out, consumer confidence in money would be significantly lowered, leading to an even worse economy. Even though the bail-out obviously spends a lot of our money, we are guaranteed a predictable future of a bad economy, trying to balance this sudden transfer. On the other hand, there would be unknown turmoil to have to face right at the present--something we cannot afford yet to do. 2. I think that there is no clear answer to what the government should do. At this point, there are only a lot of bad answers and a lot of confused people. 3. I believe that the US was far too deep in ruin from the start. We've always faced big extremes in our markets and in our PR. Even worse, we had started on spending on margin and creating a trade deficit. Outsourcing has made us dependent on other countries, also. But this doesn't mean that the nation cannot still function. |

Yeah, that's just about a sum up of the situation, so most people think that we should bail-out for now and hold off the economic decline for some other date in the future. By then, they hope to figure out a better method of proceeding. |

i'd say it's about time for an update, the bill is now passed, but what has come of it? anyhting good? anything bad? nothing or a combination of both? As far as i can see, one good thing came out of it, if you are an AIG corperate bigwig, then you got to attend a $4,000 party the week after the bailout. seriously though, the bailout did not turn anything around, it was big deal with a lot of money, but nothing has come of it. somehting may come of it in the future, but i doubt it. and some food for thought. the week before the Great Depression, the government bailed out (on a substantially smaller scale) a number of large companies, after that the market took an even steeper dive than it was already in and next thing you know the stock market had crashed. |

We're screwed. I can't understand why the government things we can buy ourselves out of a depression. This stupid country has been living on CREDIT for lover 50 years and now it's caught up with us. We have nothing, we produce nothing, we're useless. The government for the longest time has offered tax incentives to large corporations to outsource labor and production. You do that, and look where all the money goes. We're heading into another great depression and there's no way to stop it unless America somehow changes it's conservative bible thumping ideals which sure as hell won't happen. Best get outta here while you still can. |
